The wolf is an intelligent, social animal that was admired by the American Indians.

The wolf usually lives in packs of several to two dozen individuals.

A pack is usually  a family group consisting of a father and mother  and their children  of various ages.

All of the wolves obey the pack leader, usually the father wolf.

Can a wolf be a friend?

A wolf is a pack-animal.

This means that a wolf is loyal and friendly to others in his pack.

A wolf will defend members of the pack when they are attacked by an outsider.

There have been many cases where a wolf has become a loyal and loving friend to a person.

A wolf could be a good friend, but only for someone who knows how to be a pack leader.
