Up to the nineteenth century transport was by either person power, or horse power. Then steam power was invented and that ran the trains. the end of the nineteenth century Daimler invented the internal combustion engine and then we had cars in the 20th century.
Aeroplanes were invented around the time of the first World War and played an important part in the second World War.
