The building of the Titanic began in Harland & Wollf shipyards in Belfast in the year 1908. It was completed in March 1912. On the 10 April 1912 it reached Southampton where most of the passengers boarded. It then went on to Cherbourg in north-west France. 11 April the Titanic arrived at Queenstown, County Cork. On 14 April it collided with an iceberg and on 15 April it sank.
