Fact File

Iron Age Celts were famous for their metal working.
They worked with gold, bronze, silver and iron.
Gold, iron and silver were found in rocks and melted out of the stone and hammered into shape, or poured into a mould. Bronze was made from copper and tin combined.
The Celts were much more skilled than the Romans at making things out of metal.
The Celts made very beautiful jewellery and decorated it with spiral shapes.
