Elizabethan Men:
The wealthy Irishmen  dressed like the English - padded hose, doublet (waistcoat) frilled shirt with very full sleeves, starched ruff around the neck, hair chin length, beard, short and pointed.
The native Irish were dressed in a long woollen cloak or mantle and had baggy linen shirts or
leine down to their knees.
Wealthy Irishwomen wore a farthingale and kirtle (underdress) and ruff. Other Irish women wore a
leine and a woollen cloak.
