Message:Hey Cora, i was thinking, you should do a monthly thing, where you give a topic to write about e.g. sport or love and then we write stories and put them in the story club and you pick a winner, and the winner can pick the next topic? Please reply and tell me what you think? i know that i would definatly be up for it

Message:Gabriel: Sorry to hear about your ankle - sounds painful.
Still for a writer these things are very useful. Make a few notes about how you actually felt so that if, in a story, someone sprains their ankle you don't just reach for a cliché.
No, I didn't get your letter. Did you send it to Macmillan?

Message:Hi Cora!
It's Gabriel here. I'm really sorry i haven't written more of THE CHINA DOLL for ages! I've been so busy with school AND last Saturday i fell down a hill in my garden, sprained my Ankle, ended up in A and E and am just out of crutches!!!!!!!! But i have manged to write another chapter. After this chapter there is only 1 more before the end of the story! Have you got my letter from school yet?
Love Gabriel xx

Message:No, David, I'm afraid that there was no bank robber or adventure - all of that came from out of my imagination. You can try that for your stories. Your ordinary, everyday life can be the background and then something really exciting can form the centre of your story.
My advice is:
MAKE UP THE ENDING BEFORE YOU START!
I meant to say that a seaside called Ballycotton, quite near to you, is my favourite place in the world. Sixty years ago I spent all of my summer holidays there in a house just across the road from the Bayview Hotel.

It's lovely to know that the Jane Austen books give readers such pleasure.
One day I will write a third, but at the moment my next book for your age group is 'Debutantes'. It has a pretty cover. You can see it on Amazon, though it won't be out until the ende of the summer.

Message:Yes, you are right - well done, Sophie. No those two puppies never did anything so useful but yes, they did escape out of our garden and pull the neighbour's washing off the line and yes, they did bring plant pots (and a fish) in from the garden pond and put it on the rug, and yes, they did dig an ENORMOUS hole in the garden and yes, they did everything else.
I have two dogs now and they are very good. But come from DAWG (in Midleton). George, a German shepherd, was found starving on the streets of Cork and he is the loveliest, most gentle, quiet dog and was such a success that a few months later we got a Lily a Golden Retriever/labrador and she is gorgeous. They are both as good as gold.

Message:Dear Cora,
Saleen is in East Cork. We have just finished your book and really enjoyed it. We think that the one thing your dogs didn't do was find treasure (as suggested by Sophie!). Another one of our pupils (Alex) would like to know if your own dogs wrecked your house like pirate and perky did? Do you have dogs like these characters at the moment? From all in First Class

Message:Hello, everyone in first class!

Where is Saleen?

No, it didn't take me long to write the book 'Two Mad Dogs' - about a week, I think - because, you see, it's all true. Once, quite a long time ago, I had two puppies and, do you know, they did everything that these two mad dogs did.

All except one thing - can you guess what that one thing was?

Message:Dear Cora Harrison, we are in first class and are reading your book 'Two Mad dogs' at the moment. We are wondering how long it took you to write the book? Were you very tired when it was finished? How did you come up with the idea for the dogs? We are enjoying the story,
kind regards,
the pupils of First Class (Saleen)
