Message:ĎIíve put stories by Roisin, Alannah and Patricia on the Story Board. Shauna has the beginnings of a very funny and well-told story, but itís not finished so I canít put it on. This rule is going to be kept to, very strictly, from now on, so remember, finish your story and make sure that it makes sense and is carefully written before you send it to me. Type it on your computer and run a spell check over it first.

Message:Maryanna, Ursula & Scott: Your stories are on the Story Club board.
Patricia: I am waiting to seeing what you decide about your entries. I think, myself, that they belong together, but it will be your decision, because each is a possible story on its own.

EVERYONE: PLEASE REMEMBER I WILL ONLY CONSIDER WHOLE STORIES WITH A GOOD END FOR PUTTING ON THE STORY BOARD - NO 'TO BE CONTINUED' STORIES.

Message:Lorna & Alice: The two new books are in the bookshops now. Either Easons, Hughes & Hughes or perhaps Kennys in Galway should have them, Lorna.

Patricia & Jennifer: Two great ideas for a new storyline. Has anyone else got any ideas?

Patricia: I wondered about Book 1 & Book 2 for your story. What do you think?

Message:Something different! Am something like a child get abused in the old kind of time or something like that. This is how I would start the story:

"Please don't hurt me! Please" Sreamed (whatever you want the name to be).
I'm ..... and my father hurts me a lot because I don't do what im told it so unfair! I also get beaten up in school because im left handed! What is the meaning to that!

Thats what I think you should do but its your choice.

Message:Amy: That's a great beginning to a story and I've saved very carefully until you finish it. I'm just putting on good stories for the age group just now and they must be completely finished before I can even consider putting them on the Story Board. I was getting loads of unfinished stories and they are not very interesting to read.

Patricia: I've had so many stories during the month of October that I have to pick and choose. I hope you liked seeing your story about the girl and her disabled sister on the Story Board. I thought that was very good.

Message:Dear Amy,
Funnily enough I was thinking about you the other day and wondering how you were getting on. No, I didn't go to Cobh library this year - it was mainly libraries in west Cork and in Ballincollig.
I think you might like the new Drumshee Chronicles - 'Murder Strikes Again' is a sequel to 'Murder at Drumshee'. Ask at Cobh library. I'm not sure how long libraries take to get the books but I think they are in the shops now.
Have a good halfterm!

Message:Rachael: I'm glad you enjoyed my talk. I'll let you know if we do get an archaeological dig at Drumshee. Which of my books do you like the best.

Patricia: I think the fact that you wrote that excellent end quickly and easily probably shows you are a real writer. I always find that the best bits of my books come the most easily (though there has to be a lot of hard work in between). Which of my new books are you reading? I'd be really interested to know how you like it.

Message:Dear Cora,
I really liked meeting you in Easons on a school trip and learning all about the under ground passage by your house. I have read your books and think they are all fantastic. I really liked 'murder at Drumshee.' Have you looked in the underground passage to see if there is any gold or ancient jewels yet? Are you writing any more books? I like books. I'm guessing you do too since you've wrote so many. When you came to visit us in Easons you told us you saw a girl in the bush when you were outside wondering what your dog, Wolf was howling at. Did you ever see her again?
From your biggest fan, Rachael Wilhite
