Message:River-Ocean:
Make me a list of your favourite books and I'll see what I can do.
However, as I think I've said, your librarian or teacher might be of more help. Though I write books for young adults I tend not to read too much of the genre - I can't like vampires!
At the moment I am rereading some Georgette Heyer Regency romances - very light, very charming, very witty and so relaxing!

Message:Cora thank you so much for your suggesting but have you got anymore???? i just like to read a lot in my spare time!!!! sorry to bother you again but i guess that reading somebody's book who has gone thorugh the same things as me can be quite challenging and exciting. thank you.

Message:Shayley: I had the most wonderful fun writing that book -and also 'Jane Austen Stole my Boyfriend' (just a fun title). I visited the city of Bath, which is so locked into that era, and spent a wonderful few days wandering around the streets and imagining my story.

Message:River-Ocean: Part of my email went missing.

What I meant to say was that I'd love you to continue your story - just paste it into the story club with your name and the title of the story and then just put 'continued' above it so that I know to paste it onto the end of the bit you've already done.

Message:River-Ocean:On the contrary, what I said was thst I liked long stories - it's the two or three hasty lines from people old enough to do better that I find time-consuming and rather annoying.

re books: I put this last week - if you scroll down you'll see it:

Have youever read 'I Capture the Castle' by Dodie Smith. the girl who tells the story in it is a bit like you - wanting desperately
to be a writer and feeling misunderstood by those around her.
A librarian would be the best person to help you, though. I would not be up-to-date on the Do keep writing, but send it to the story club. Just put the title on the top and under it the word 'continued'

Message:I'm sorry if I bothered you with my long story! I didn't really mean to. I get how busy you can be! Anyway I just wanted to ask whether you are able to give me any books which I can read! I'm mean I kinda ran out of the books which I wanted to read! I hope you have time!

Message:I think that I will make a new rule to say that all stories should be at least a page long before you send them to me. I really am very busy and it takes the same amount of time to put on a few dashed-off lines as to put on a proper story with a beginning, a middle and an end.
It is, also, much easier to comment on a proper story.

I don't mind if people, who are writing a long book, send me a few chapters at a time - that makes sense, but I don't want any more three-line stories, please.

Message:Write it now, Brigid, and I'll add it on. Yes, I admire both Enid Blyton (especially the Famous Five series and C.S. Lewis.

Niamh & Molly: I haven't put your latest stories on because they are just too short. It's just not worth opening up a new form for a few words.
