Message: | Maryanna: A boarding school is a brilliant idea for a story. You can have all sorts of mini stories going on - perhaps someone is playing tricks on an unpopular teacher, perhaps someone is making a girl's life a misery - perhaps she runs away. When I was young I used to love books called 'The Chalet School' and this Chalet School was just beside some mountains in Austria. They were great stories. Megan: I like your new story, Megan. If I get time, I'll put it on the Story Board.

Message: | Thank you for publishing "Shark!" on the Story Board. My teacher does think my English work is good. English is my favourite subject. Why did you ask anyway? I'm still waiting for 'Gorgeous' at the library. A girl in my class is still reading it. She says it's really good. Do you think you will ever come visit Swinford library again. I hope you do.

Message: | Jillian: It must have been very exciting, though. I'm sure you enjoyed it - the holiday of a lifetime. Maryanna: You can certainly have 3,000 words (about four or five pages of single - 10 of double space) on the Story Club - perhaps more. You can always divide it into sections if you have more than that.

Message: | Patricia: I would say that most publishers would want a minimum of 25,000 for your age group – for eight-year-olds about 6,000 words would be enough, certainly your story could be expanded tremendously. A good tip is to describe everything so that your reader feels that they are actually there – don’t rush; build up the atmosphere. Heather & Alannah: Your stories are on the Story Board. Siobhan: I put one of yours on a while ago - though I don't think I told you - and another one tonight.

Message: | Jennifer: I like Kitty for the same reasons as you do, but also because she was so patient and kind with Tabitha. I used the character of Kitty again in World War II Rescue at Drumshee. She is the mother of two teenagers then. Patricia: If you've read Drumshee Chronicles Book 2, Treachery at Midnight, the scene in the graveyard is an example of what I was trying to explain to you about building an atmosphere and not rushing through the facts of the story.

Message: | Hi Cora Oh my god, are you actually, seriously serious about printing the stories? Wow! I know it would be hard to get all those stories printed. I'm working on a story at the moment called "The world wide Jeb" do you think the title sounds all right? P.S This is by far the best website I've ever gone on!!

Message: | When I wrote my stories I didn't explain the places and that kind of thing. I see in books that they give loads of ideas. I think that they want to have a long book. What do you think?
