Message:Patricia: yes, thanks, I'd love some ideas for a new story for next week.

Denise: Your story was great - I found it very interesting and it was just the sort of thing I was looking for, but unfortunately it's really only the beginning of a story. Can you put a middle and an end on it and send me the whole thing? You've plenty of time as the competition won't finish until the end of January.

Message:Thanks for putting mine and Megan's story on the Story Board.
I'll probably have the story that I did on Microsoft Word sent to you soon but it probably won't be on Friday or the weekend because I'll be in Dublin.
Megan is going to send you more stories about Tuppence when she gets the time.

Message:I thought the ending of the story 'The Great Adventure' did not match up with the rest of it. I don't think it can just have been Sarah's dream. That leaves the reader quite disappointed after all the magical and imaginative episodes with the pink crocodile - it would be like ending Harry Potter by saying it was just a dream. Perhaps you could think of another ending. If no one can think of a good ending, I'll try to finish it off on Friday so that we have a new story by next weekend.
Patricia: That's great. Send it to me whenever you are ready.
Denise: I look forward to reading your story. I'm sure you will do it very well.

Message:Patricia: If your review is under 150 words you could put it on the message board. If it's over that then you could post it into the Story Club and I'll display it there until we get a special place. Thanks very much for doing this.

Message:Happy New Year everyone!
Sonia: I'm thinking of writing a sequel to 'Famine Secret'. Have you any ideas?
Claire: There may be two more Drumshee books in the spring. I have written them, but the publisher may not be able to have them in the shops until the summer.
Megan: Nice to hear from you. Your story is the first story on the Story Board for 2005. I'd like lots more stories now as I have some more room in the Story Club slot. They can be about anything, but if they are for the school story competition then mark it on the top of the story - and say which one of my books you would like as a prize.

Message:Alannah: Yes, I think 'The Great Adventure' is nearing its end now. It's been a lovely story and I hope it has a lovely end.
You should probably get whoever owns the laptop to show you how to transfer your story from the floppy disk onto the laptop, as machines are all different. Once it's there, just go into 'edit', click on 'select all' then click on 'copy' and then go to the Story Club and paste your story into it.

Message:Stories for the Story Competition can come in anytime now. Entries close on the last day of January. Please mark your story as for the competition and just one per person this time.
make it your best story and it must be finished - it's too much of a nuisance to have it in bits.
The story can be any length but must take place in a school real or imaginary in Ireland. You can make up the story but it must sound as if it is you and your friends talking.

Message:Sharon: I've consulted my son,William, about your problem and he says to click on 'browser' in the tools menu when you have got the message board page. He thinks that might solve it, but if not write back to me through the Story club. Sorry I was so long in answering - Christmas was very busy and then I was ill for a few days.
Alannah: I'm thrilled that you didn't guess the murderer in Murder at Drumshee.
Alannah & Sharon: I've been reading what you wrote in the story and it's brilliant. You both have great imaginations and great vocabulary.

Message:Megan: I'm so pleased you like Wolf. Who is your favourite animal in the story?
Patricia: It's your opinion thatn I want. It's especially useful to know which bits of the story went well and which bits not so well.
Denise: I've said before that I was only putting on the stories that won.
Helena: Thanks for writing - which class are you in?
