Message:Alannah: You can get the address of any publisher by looking inside the cover of a book that they have published - otherwise you can type the name into Google and see what comes up (Perhaps get a mother or father to help you with this.)

Message:Cora: Actually, I was thinking of an English publisher myself. I was thinking of Puffin. I'll just have to find the address.

Message:Alannah: I'm so sorry that O'Brien Press rejected your book. I thought it was very good and very clever. Don't ever throw it away. Perhaps you might try an English publisher. Irish publishers are a bit difficult sometimes. They have to feel that they can guarantee sales of about four thousand copies before they will take a chance on a new author.
I'm not sure about Thirteen... I'd know better when it finishes or when I have a look at your plan for an ending.

Message:Cora: My book got rejected from O'Briens Press. I was sent back yesterday. They said in their letter that they liked it a lot but it wasn't what they were looking for. I might try another story now. Do you think that I should sent 'Thirteen - yeah right!' to them when its finished?
Oh, by the way, chapter 9 of my story has been sent.

Message:Caoimhe: I'm not sure when it will come out, Caoimhe. I'll let you know when I have a date.

The story has been an excellent one, but I think it could do with finishing now. This is always difficult and usually requires a bit of courage (and inspiration!).

I'm glad you enjoyed Gorgeous and Viking. I have a new book coming out soon which is about Limerick, also. It's called A Life for a Life and it's about a boy from Drumshee imprisoned in King John's Castle in Limerick.

Message:Patricia: I think it might be a good idea to expand on the foster home. Give the name of the foster mother and try to visualise what it was like when your main character arrived there. Did she get a meal? What was the bedroom like? What did her foster mother say? What were the rules? Make it real for your reader so that they, too, can imagine what it is like.

Claire, Sara & Lisa: Thanks for your messages.

Message:Hid Cora, when you came to our school in Galway and you read a bit of Gorgeous I went strait down the town after school and I bought it in Easons. I came home and had my tea and then I just read and read it. I laughed and I cryed and I loved it. I finished it that night and when I came home from school next day I read it again.
