Message: | Dear Ms Harrison, Yes, in most places kids are on holiday too. Most schools are starting September 1st, but since my family does home schooling we chose to start in a few days. Thanks for asking!

Message: | Bridget: That's fine. I was wondering. By the way, I'm sure Sorcha didn't mind. It worked out fine that her bit went before yours. She's probably on holiday now - lots of the kids are. The schools go back on the first of September. Is it the same in USA

Message: | Dear Ms Harrison, I submitted the story "Family Fellowship" to the Story Club. Unfortunately, I used the names of real people. My mom told me I am not supposed to do that. Will you please delete the parts I already submitted? I will re-submit them with the names changed. Thank you!

Message: | Alan: there's been a bit of delay at the Publishers and 'Doomed to Die' & 'A Life for a Life' haven't gone to the printers yet. They should be in the shops sometime in August, but I'll let you know. Anyway, if you are ever in a bookshop - and this goes for everyone - please do ask for them. This creates a demand and makes the bookshops order more of my books and enables me to keep on writing Drumshee books. Eanna: I hadn't even noticed that. I was so taken by the excellence of your writing! I will fix it, though. Don't worry.

Message: | Dear Edwina, Many thanks for you nice long message. Yes, I have mapped out a sequel to Gorgeous. It's going to be called 'Twice as Gorgeous'. I think that is very good advice not to put too many characters. It is a weakness of mine. I will try to slip in an 'Edwina', though. What sort of character do you want to be? Perhaps you could give me a few details about yourself so that your character rings true. I am planning a sequel to 'Famine' as well. I thought of taking up the story one year later when there was yet another failure of the potato. Thanks for writing. Would you think of putting something on the story? The trouble about the summer is that lots of people are away so only a few contribute to the story.

Message: | Sorcha: I've just fixed it. Instead of deleting your bit, I just cut it and put it before Bridget's bit. Now it makes sense. It's funny to think of Sorcha in Ireland and Bridget in USA coming on to the story at the very same minute!
