| Message: | Caitlin: Thanks for writing. I remember going to Ballincollig. It's a lovely library. Glad you enjoyed my talk. If you have any ideas for a sequel to Gorgeous when you have finished reading it, then send them to me on the message board. | |

| Message: | Siobhan: Whenever I start to read a story by you I get quite excited. You really do seem to be able to voice the feelings of a twelve-year-old. Your endings are good also, but, and I hope you don't mind me saying this, but I think the middle of your stories need to be more substantial. Build up a picture in words about what happened. Give what you said, what other people said, what happened next. It's more of a summary at the moment. I'd love to use some of your ideas for Gorgeous book 2 (I think it will be called: 'Twice as Gorgeous'). Would that be OK. I'll mention you in the dedication. | |

| Message: | Here is my review for "Treachery at Midnight": I thought it was excellent. I especially liked the fair at Coad. I felt as if I was watching Columba kill Conan; it seemed so real. Columba seemed very talented at drawing and Sorcha was so interesting. I thought it was really sad when Honey was killed because Honey was one of my favourite characters. Father Brendan was really evil. I would give "Treachery at Midnight" 10/10. | |

| Message: | Christina: I'm delighted you like the look of my books and the worksheets. Have you tried Amazon for the books. Most people in America seem to get them from there. Ursula: My publisher likes your suggestion for a title for 'Gorgeous 2'. He thinks 'Twice as Gorgeous' sounds great. Have you any brilliant suggestions for a cover, now? By the way, I was in Shannon, at St Pats on Monday. I must have been quite near to your school. I'd love to meet you and some of your friends and pick your brains so that Gorgeous 2 becomes a best-seller! | |

| Message: | Cora, I have found your books and worksheets on the internet and absolutely love them. I would love to be able to buy your books, but I am from the United States and no one carries them. Do you know any other way for me to get them? Any help you can give is appreciated. Christina DeBoer | |

| Message: | Alannah: That's a shame. How I got it was by typing the words "writing competitions children" into Google (the search engine on the Internet). I think the BBC have one also, but I thought Listowel would be good as it is in Ireland. The trouble is that publishers will only pick out one book in a thousand from new authors to publish and I think your age would be against you. It might be worth a try, but ring first and say how long the book is. You could try O'Brien Press. They probably publish more children's books than anyone else in Ireland and they are the only ones that get a grant from the Arts Council. | |

| Message: | Patricia: I very much liked the style of your story, but it did seem to have a few gaps in it. Try reading it aloud. I know it sounds stupid to sit in a room reading aloud to yourself, but it does work. You can always have the radio on so that your family don't think you're mad. It's even better to read it to someone, but they have to be really listening, not just pretending to listen | |
