Message: | Tara: It was great to meet with your school again and I enjoyed the session at Tralee very much. I'm glad that you enjoyed 'Dark Days'. I passed the ruin of Lemaneh Castle this morning and saw the 'trotting lane' with its high, limestone walls and I thought of you all. Alison: Are you from the same school? Yes, I am writing a sequel to 'Gorgeous' and it is about all the same girls at secondary school.

Message: | Hi Cora: It does feel kind of strange to post a message when I know that people in Ireland are asleep. Does it really only get to fifty-eight degrees? Our summer is at least ninety all the time! And we do swim all year round, but fall, winter, and spring are indoors. During the summer we swim outside.

Message: | Bridget: It's always intriguing to get a message from you and to see the time stamp of almost three o'clock in the morning and to know that you are over in Idaho wide-awake while I am asleep here in Ireland. Do you go swimming in all weathers, then. Over here, in Lahinch, most people seem to be wearing wet-suits in the so-called Irish summer - often only about 14 or 15 degrees centigrade - about fifty-eight degrees fahrenheit! Patrick: I'm glad you enjoyed my talk. Keep in touch.

Message: | Hi Cora: I was just looking through some family pictures, and I found one at my aunt's wedding where I had stepped on a vent and my dress flew up. Of course my mom just had to take a picture of it. Another picture was of a Swim Meet when it was freezing cold, raining, and windy, and all the kids, regardless of teams, are huddled together behind a storage shed.

I must tell you Cora that my teacher keeps giving me A's for English. I think that is due to you. You encouraged my reading and now you encourage my writing. I'm hoping to do a long story just like Ursula. I admire her story very much.

I've put your bit onto your other and I've also posted your poem. I like it very much. Ursula: Yes, I know, especially if you've started on your Leaving Cert. course it must be very hard to get the time. I think the plan of blocking off a bit of time every week is a very good one. It would be a shame not to finish when you've already got so much done.

In any case, I would want to know your age and whether you have read any of my books before. Are you from st Enda's, also?
