Message:Patricia: If I were you, I would start straight in. It's amazing how much background stuff you can add in as you go along. I would start with something someone says, or yells. Plunge your reader into the atmosphere straight away.

I don't have that much time to write the story as the exams are coming soon and I need to revise for that but I could put that into my story as well tough.

Message:Bridget: I've put the beginning of a new story onto the storyline

Brittany: I've put your story onto the story board.

Tara: I was fifty-seven when I wrote my first book. I think what inspired me was the thought that I am living here in a place where people have lived for over two thousand years. Everytime that I walk in the Iron Age fort on the top of the hill in my farm it gives me a marvellous feeling about the past.

You're welcome. I'm going to a Swim Meet today in my hometown! I'm also swimming a 200 meter butterfly! I did it last year and it was horrible. I was the only kid my age who was doing it. This year there are three or four other kids my age doing it, though.

I'm not sure what kind of story would be good for this time of year, but usually if you just put up something we think of something to add on.

Yes, it is a bit like Christmas, but no one exchanges presents and many people don't put up any decorations. It also has no religous meaning.

Message:Eoin: That is very exciting news. I must watch. What are you doing? By the way, where are you from - just remind me.
Patricia: When I was teaching in England I don't think I ever even heard of an all-girl/all-boy primary school. I found them quite strange when I started to visit schools in Ireland.
Bridget: That's very interesting about Thanksgiving - it's a bit like Christmas, I suppose.
Imelda: The favourite is 'Treachery at Midnight', though I like 'Doomed to Die' as well.

Message:Cora, I really like being with the boys because I was with them in junior infants, senior infants and first class. I would have been around 6 or 7 and back then we thought boys were annoying but theyíre great crack. Itís a pity we werenít mixed. I also like that we get free classes as well but itís mostly the boys!

Message:Hi Cora:
Thanksgiving was created by Americans to remember when the pilgirms came here and the Native Americans helped them to grow food and stay alive. The following year the pilgrims invited the Native Americans to a feast to thank them.
Because of that, we usually eat more than anything. We eat turkey, which is a tradition, mashed potatoes, cranberry sauce, and almost anything else.

Message:Emer, Laura & Sam: I'm glad you like 'Wolf in the Midnight Forest'. It's a great favourite of mine. Yes, the puppy Wolf in the story is certainly inspired by my dog, Wolf, when he was a puppy.

Bridget: What sort of things do you do, or eat, for Thanksgiving?

Patricia: What do you like best about secondary school?
