Message:Hi Cora:
We usually have a white Christmas, but this year we only have a little bit of snow, since it's gotten warmer.
I probably won't be here for another snow storm since my family is going to Mexico for a family reunion over Christmas.

Message:Bridget: Yes, 'Nuala & her Secret Wolf' was my first book. I wrote it and then wondered about it, took it down to a little school near my farm and a girl called Edel read it in one night and came back next day and said that she loved it. I tried a publisher and was so thrilled when they published it. That was Drumshee 1 and now Drumshee 17, 'A Life for a Life', has been published.
How is your weather over in Idaho? I keep hoping for some snow around Christmas to please my small grandson, but we usually have a green Christmas.

Was 'Nuala and her Secret Wolf' your first book? Most people probably know the answer to that, but I'm so far away from Ireland that I don't get much news like that.

Message:Dear Kelly,
thanks for your message. I don't usually get ideas for stories from other people - they have to come out of my own head. I think my inspiration for my first book came from trying to picture a girl who might have lived on my farm two thousand years ago.

Message:Hi Cora I got a book token from my godmother and I went into Limerick to buy Gorgous because all my friends tell me its great but I could'nt get it. Easons diddn't even have any of the Drumshee Chronicles either tho they had loads of your Drumshee Timeline but I have got all of them. I was sooooo disapointed that I had to buy something else. I bought the Princess Dairies but my friend says that its not as good as Gorgous.

Message:Summer: Summer: I understand what you are saying about your theme being universal, but if you want to sell your novel you should give it a strong sense of place. This is what would interest your readers and what would make your novel different to many thousands of others with similar themes.

Hi core
I want to say that my story can happen in any place to any one in its feeling not necessary action. In my writing you can see my point of view about some thing maybe could not happen.
I try hard to learn English and to improve my language and vocabulary, for that welcome for any comment from any one.

Message:Patricia: Write up the diary entry for the day before the first day at secondary school and send it to me through the story club and then I will think what should come next.

Alannah: I'm just going to put your latest chapter onto the Story Board. This is quite an exciting and intriguing episode.

Message:Cora, I really thought there was something wrong. But like the first day was a shock I knew only the class and some of the boys. We were all really quiet, now we're loud and the hole time fighting. How do you think I could grab the reader's attention?
Dated:Fri Dec 16 18:24:10 2005

Name: Cora Harrison
Message:Patricia: I think that what is wrong with it is the first entry. That sounds rather boring. I think you should start with the day before and really describe your worries and your hopes for secondary school and also describe what your primary school was like. Try to grab your readers' attention.
As you get into your stride it becomes really, really good. I found it so interesting. Your style of writing is so straight-forward and honest. It's you, rather than an imitation Jacqueline Wilson.
