Message:Bridget: I was very interested in your reply to Claire (you probably won't hear from her until the weekend- I think she only allows herself 'Internet' at the weekend.) By the way, that was a great piece of writing in the story club story.

Sean: I wonder whether you make a plan first. If you do, I would just write it as a first draft, as fast as you can - earier to do it straight on to a computer if you have access to one. Then you can always go over it again, but at least it would be finished. I always suggest thinking of a clever ending before you actually start the story. I find very many people never seem to finish their stories, so you are not the only one with this problem.

Message:Hi Cora, sorry i haven't written to you in some time now. I loved your murder in Drumshee books so much i read them all over again. I'm working on a story at the moment. But I need your advice.
See my storys have to be perfectionate. So I'm always rubbing out and starting again. It could take me a million years to finish one book. What do you think I should do.

Message:Hi Claire:
I do work from textbooks most of the time, but my family also works with an online school, so most of the things I read are online.
I don't really think about how I'm getting along in comparison with other people, but I do a lot of debating with them, which sometimes gets me into trouble.

Message:Declan: Your stories are very serious - it might be fun to try something humourous just to see if you can do it. Perhaps about a festival at Corofin where everything goes wrong.

Message:Hi Bridget.
Do you work from text books - and how do you know how you are getting on in comparison with others of your age? I think I would find it very hard to work without a teacher in maths and science subjects and these are very important to me if I am going to be a doctor.
No, we have gone on any exciting holidays in my family - we say holiday and you say vacations! We ussually just go to Kerry and I've been going there forever.
I love school - except on Monday morning but when I get there I cheer up.

Message:Declan: Sorry, for some reason the eircom computer didn't seem to be working today. Anyway, I've put your story on and it's great!

Kevin: I'd love to have one of your stories and I'm glad you like mine.

Bridget: You sound very grown-up and in charge of the situation. What fun to be able to manage your own studies.

Message:Hi Claire:
I didn't have enough room on my other message to put this on as well.
How are your studies going? I'm sure you're doing great in all of them. How is secondary school? In America we have Secondary School, but we call it Junior High School, or Junior High. Has your family gone on any interesting vacations lately? Most of my family's vacations are for swim meets. We have never done anything like vacation to Mexico. We only did that for a family reunion, anyway!
You don't have to answer any of the questions if you don't want to. I've always been a bit overly curious.

Message:Hi Claire:
I don't mind any of the questions. I feel curious about you, too.
My mom and I are doing all right with my studies. I'm supposed to do most of the classes on my own now, so she spends most of the day helping my brother and sister with theirs. I'm sure my mother gets fed up with me every five minutes, and I sometimes get fed up with her, too.
I do feel like I'm getting a very good education. Especially in Languge, Reading, and History.

Message:Hi Cora: Congrats about your novel for adults. I'd love to be a writer when I retire from being a doctor.
Hi Bridget: How are you? How are you and your mother getting on with your studies? I feel very curious about you. Do you ever get fed up with your mother being the teacher - and does she ever get fed up with you - and do you think that you are getting as good an education as you would get at a good school???
I feel very curious but don't answer the questions unless you want to.

Message:Orna: I hope you are continuing to enjoy 'Dark Days'.
Sarah & Ciara: You seem to have a good writing partnership going. Do you know each other?
Alannah: I've put your story on the Story Board. I've given it a provisional title - it can always be changed as soon as you think of a title, but I find that it looks odd if there is no title.

Message:Ciara: Thanks. I read your pieces and I think they're really good. I like the way 'Karina' seems to be more cheerful. I've just added some more now. I'm wondering if there could be a mystery in the school, something to do with the tower.
