| Message: | that's a very interesting message and I'm glad to have helped with your history. Did your parents say not to give your name? Generally I think it's OK to give Christian names, but never addresses, telephone numbers or email addresses. Ursula: Now that gives you something to aim at. Does 40,000 words seem a lot? Did anyone notice my new-look home page, and if so, what did you think of it. | |

| Message: | Hey I'm delighted that other people are enjoying the story so far. Today I got a reply from Poolbeg. Their Publishing Assistant emailed me and said that unfortunately they are not accepting any more childerens books as their list is full till end of 2006 and she also advised me that the book should be around 40000 words and to keep reading other books. She was really nice and I was delighted with the advice as usual. She also explained how hard it is for them to promote and produce Childrens books. She was really nice and the advice helped. Next Step---- Finish Book!! | |

| Message: | Hi Cora: It must have felt great when the war was over and you could eat normal food again. Hi Paula: My brother has many of the Drumshee Timeline Series, but that's all. We have to order them through Amazon because so far we've only seen one bookstore that has them, and it's not even in Idaho! | |

| Message: | Sixth Class, St Ita's: Great to hear from you all. I enjoyed my visit very much to your school. Be careful of Drumshee Rebels, Paula. It's out-of-print now. summer: If you look back at one of your earlier stories you will see that I rewrote it for you in correct English. This may be of some help to you. You may not have seen it as I don't think you acknowledged it. Alannah: I've put your next episode on to the Story Board. I enjoyed it very much. | |

| Message: | Bridget: I was a child - born 1939 - during the second world war and though Ireland was not part of it (it was called 'The Emergency' here) I still remember the shortage of butter and tea and sweets. I had my first orange when the war ended and I'll never forget the taste. Ciara: Many thanks - these are great suggestions. I'm glad you like your secondary school. Aoife: My favourite book of my own books is probably DOOMED TO DIE or TREACHERY AT MIDNIGHT. My favourite, otherwise, is Philip Pullman's NORTHERN LIGHTS. | |

| Message: | Patricia & Summer: I have added in your latest additions to your story. Summer: You have lots of good ideas, but you really need a tutor to help you to write correctly in English. I'm afraid I don't have the time for that as I am very busy. Patricia: Yes, I think it's good. I look at it from the point of view of a professional writer. A book from a child, or young person, will only be published if it has something that adult writers can't achieve: an authentic voice. There are so many kids writing 'Jacqueline Wilson' lookalikes that it is refreshing to get something that sounds true and honest. | |

I think it needs finishing up now, don't you. ANYONE: THE STORY MAY BE FINISHED NOW. | |
