Message:Bridget: I've put your chapter sixteen on the Story Club Board. We must gather all of the chapters of 'The Marauders' together and put them on as one story. Have you got the whole story on your own computer? If so, you could send it to me when you have finished.

Message:Paula: Yes, I love sitting out in the garden and reading a good book. I've got a nice terrace outside my cottage (you can see it on the biography page) and we have four very comfortable loungers with nice soft cushions and its very luxurious to just stretch out and read.

Amy: You and Ann-Marie sound as if you are having a great summer holiday. Let's hope that the good weather comes back again. It's a bit cold today.
By the way, I just put messages on the board that have a real name on them - just write your name with three letters in future or it might be rejected by the computer.

Message:Katie: Nice to hear from you. I have a few books going on at the moment, but only one in Irish coming out soon. That is called 'Two Bodies under the Floorboards.

I've had a nice long message from someone who didn't put their name. I don't put messages on the board unless they have a name - just a first one will do.

Message:Bridget: I bet you are cleverer than me. You're much better at writing stories. I'm a hard worker but I don't think I'm brilliant in any way.

What did you do today for the fourth of July?

Message:Hi Claire:
Utah is to the southeast of Idaho. It's great that you were at the top of the class. You must be a really good student. I'm the only person in my class, so I can't compare myself with anyone!

Message:Hi Bridget: Where is Utah (I'm too tired to look it up in the Atlas - I know I should.)
I'm working in my aunt's shop and I'm staying with them. It's a nice change from being at home and it's a break from school work. Yes, of course I'm going back in September. I'm still determined to be a doctor and it's very hard. I'll have to get top marks in my Leaving Cert. I keep thinking about that and it inspires me to work very hard. I was top of the class in almost everything this summer, but that's not good enough. I have to be outstanding to get the points.
Hope you had a great 4th of July. I was thinking about you today.

Message:Hi Cora:
I've been busy all summer, and I was at a swim meet in Utah for four days. Tomorrow, July Fourth, is America's Independance Day. We set off fireworks and read the Declaration of Independance. There is also a huge firework display at a park in our town.
Hi Claire:
What kind of a shop are you working in? Are you just working there until school starts again?

Message:Cillian: I don't think it's stupid. It probably shows that you are very self-critical - and that can be a good, as well as a bad, thing. Why don't you send the beginning of a story to me and then I'll prompt you (or nag you) to finish it.
The other thing you could do, for a change, is to write the ending to a story and then see how you could write a story leading up to this. I tried that a while ago in a school where I was doing creative writing and it worked out very well.

Claire: that sounds fun - and a change from school.

Ann Marie: I find it quite hard to write in the garden, even though I have a laptop and I thought I would enjoy writing under the shade. Somehow it doesn't work so well for me as working in my spare bed

Message:Thanks Cora, I still write stories yes but I start them and never finish them, which is stupid but thats what happens, its great to be back and I have added another bit to the story, i hope it can get up!
