Message:Danny: You are quite right about the date - that was an error that crept into the book at editing stage.
However, you are not correct, I think, about the O'Briens. My understanding is that, as so often happened, they were on both sides.

Message:Cora,
I have just read your book, " A Life For a Life". I bought it since it touched on Dysert O'Dea. I have one complaint though. The Battle was fought on 11 May 1318 not 18 May 1314. I do thank you for giving credit for the victory to the O'Deas, O'Connors and O'Hehirs and not the O'Briens, who were allies of deClare.

Message:Aoife: That sounds interesting about your challenge.
No, I'm afraid my grandson is only three so he has yet to read my books. I hope that he will, though. He is the hero in my book A LIFE FOR A LIFE which describes the battles between the Anglo-Normans and the native Irish.

Message:Aoife: Lovely to hear from you - the Irish College sounds great fun. I remember when I was young some of my friends used to go to Irish College and they always had a good time.

Brittany: Your story seems to be leading up to an interesting conclusion.

Sarah F. : Welcome to the Story Club. That is a wonderful story that you sent. I loved it.

Message:Hey Cora. Sorry I haven't written or added onto my story 'Abandoned' in such a long time, but I do have a reason! Me and a few of my friends were attending a Coláiste Samhridh camp in the Gaeltacht area of Dingle, Co. Kerry. We stayed in a boarding school for 3 weeks (boys and girls) and we played sports and had classes every morning. Today was the last day and I really enjoyed it. I'd definitly go again!!!!
Lots of Love, Aoife. XxXx

Message:Sarah: That's a good idea. I'll do that straight away.
Ann Marie. Sounds like a lovely summer. Do you ride, or does your Dad just breed young horses and sell them before they are trained?
I love to see horses on the beach. In Mayo I saw horse racing on the sands once and I have never seen anything more beautiful with a dark blue sea, white waves and pale blue islands in the distance.
Bridget: I think I'd die if the temperature rose to that height. That must be about 40 degrees. It was bad enough when it rose to 30. My young dog, a huge German shepherd, was stretched out on the stone floor of the old cottage panting like a steam train.

Message:Hi Cora:
It's almost 100 degrees outside, and my house doesn't have air-conditioning!
Idaho isn't humid, so it's not nearly as bad as some places like Florida or Pennsylvania, but I'd still rather have snow than sweat. What's the weather like in Ireland?

Message:Cora Harrison: Why don't you put a story about two people that get lost in some caves. They could find stolen goods or get trapped with the tide coming in.

Message:Aoife: 'Nuala and Her Secret Wolf' is out of print, but you might get it in a library. As far as I know 'The Secret of the Seven Crosses' is in print, but, of course, it came out a long time ago so it is probably hard to find. If you live anywhere near to Limerick you might find it in O'Mahonys in O'Connell Street. It would probably be best to telephone first to save yourself a journey.

Message:Sarah: I'm running out of ideas at the moment. Have you something that you think would work? By the way, I have never been surfing, but I watch people doing it at Lahinch and it looks wonderful fun.

Ann Marie: I love the sun, also. What do you do all day? Do you swim, or sunbathe, or surf?

Message:Ann Marie: I think you are very lucky. I love where I am living, right out in the country, but I do have a dream to live by a beach - especially in the winter. Perhaps one day I'll have both!
