Message:Kristine: I have now read your story and I think it is a great story, but I haven't put it on the Story Board because I think there is one thing wrong with it and you might like to change this before a I put it on. I think the beginning bit where the family have cows, and pigs and horses and hens is unrealistic. If they were that well-off the potato blight would only be an inconvenience to them. They would still have plenty of food. If they had eggs, and milk and meat and oats they would be fine.
What do you think? Would you like to change it before I put it on? It's up to you.

Message:Katie:It's fun thinking of names for animals - you are lucky to have so many.

Caitlin:Have you looked at the names of my books on this website (click on 'books' on the home page)? If there are some that you haven't read then you can ask the library to get them for you. They are usually very nice about this.

Kristine: I'm sorry about your fingers, but don't worry about the story. I so admire the way you can keep steadily producing such excellent work. So many people start a story and then don't bother finishing it. You are wonderful!

Message:Cora: I'm sorry, I won't be able to do any writing probably today or tomorrow.
I'm just back from my school open night and I had to sit at the ceili group table (I'm not even in the ceili group) and play guitar for over a half an hour! My fingers are so sore, it's really hard for me to type and writing with pens drives me up the wall...
I'm really sorry and I'll try and get the next chapter up as soon as I can.
