Published in UK: 6 London Murder Mysteries, 4 for teenage girls, 12 books for adults - and I'm still writing. Message: | Yes we did it last year and I think we are doing it this year too. A lot of people do hurling and football. We have a league going in school. There are 5 teams in it and you start with the kick off or you can ask Sir to just kick it and of you go. Maybe you could make a book with some people at a school and are playing football when a flood happens to come and they have to survive when the P1s and 2s have gone missing and we could use it as a book at our school or other schools about Ireland. While I was on holidays in Spain I met a person from Liverpool and he was class at ping pong. But he sounded like a broken radio.

Message: | Thanks, Ciaran and Cathal, for your messages. Oh, and I wanted to ask whether you play hurling at your school? In 'Murder at Drumshee' I write about the boys playing hurling and that is set about sixteen hundred years ago - in the time of St Patrick - so hurling is a very old game.

Message: | How lovely to hear from Glenann, again. I think of you often and am so pleased that I saw your lovely school and the famous glens of Antrim. I went to Cobh - the place from which the Titanic sailed - during the summer. I forget whether I told you that I was born there and once, when I was nineteen (about fifty-five years ago) I sailed out in a liner from there to France. Even then the liner couldn't come into harbour so the passengers had to go out in a small boat, just like Tabitha and Robert did in my story.

Message: | Dear Cora, At the minute we are reading Titanic Voyage from Drumshee. Primary 7 have already read Famine Secret at Drumshee. Everyone in the class liked the book. Titanic Voyage from Drumshee is very interesting. The story makes you want to read on. Most people in our class like Tabitha the best because she is different from the rest of the characters. We want to find out what happens to the children when the Titanic hits the iceberg. Later in the term we will be visiting the Titanic quarter in Belfast. We have a picture of you on our classroom door. It is of when you visited our school. Congratulations to Clare on winning the U21 hurling on Saturday. We hope you are in good form. Thank you for your interesting books.

Message: | Lily: Sorry, I wouldn't know you well enough to be able to recommend something - only to say that it should be something that you know about - perhaps how one life in the 20th-21st century seems to repeat what happened centuries earlier. I think that I could write a story like that, but as for an essay, it sounds as though it should be something political.
