Message: | Aisling: No, I don't think so. I've put on everything that I had. Have you checked the Story Club page? You have such a lot of beginnings of stories. It might be a good idea to concentrate on the one that you feel you could finish, now. I don't mind, but it would probably be better for your development as a writer.

Message: | Aisling: I haven't actually read that one - I'll check it out. Aoife: Yeah, the ending was quite sad, really... Cora: If you liked 'Northern Lights', I know of a book you might like - it's called 'The Amulet of Samarkand', by Jonathan Stroud. It's set in a modern-day London ruled by wizards, and the main character is a witty, street-wise djinni. The writing is excellent, and the plot is ingenius - I read it and thought, 'Darn! Wish I'd thought of that first!' The only bad thing about it is that it's the first book in a trilogy, and you really have to read them in order to understand them. Did you read 'The Lord of The Rings' books?

Message: | Alking about books I think the best book I have read for your age group is 'Northern Lights' by Philip Pullman. The net best is 'Sabriel' by Garth Nix. Aoife: In terms of number of books (by me) published it would be Wolfhound, in terms of importance it has to be Macmillan.

Message: | Cora: I do alright in school, I have flunked a few times in the past, and I get As sometimes, but I guess I'm just an average student. Jane Austen is one of my favourite authors. I read 'Pride and Prejudice' in 2004, when I heard the new version of the movie was coming out, and I loved the book. I bought 'Sense and Sensibility' a few months ago, but haven't got around to reading it yet. I'm trying to finish some old books before I start on a new one, and 'Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows' is out soon, and that's a must read, so I'll be pretty occupied with reading over the next while!

Message: | Aisling: Sorry, I've been a bit muddled lately - I've had a lot to do with my novel for adults - interviews etc. Kristine: I wish you all the best luck in the world with your examination results. I would have thought that you would be a 'straight A student' but if you're not, don't worry - remember Jane Austen left school at twelve and then grew up to be one of the most famous female noevlists ever known.
