Message: | Hi Cora. I've just sent in a new story that I wrote for a writing competition I might be entering through school. It's a Christmas story but I've made it kind of...sad. To make it stand out. The rules were that it had to be around about 500 words and start with the line "'Twas the night before Christmas...'. Anyway, I'm rather proud of it and I wanted to see what you thought. Kristine x

Message: | Dear Conor, I remember reading that they tended to bury their dead outside the ditch of the fort. On our farm, I heard, the people who owned it previously found some human skeletons just where the causeway (the sort of earthen bridge) to the fort starts. I don't know how true the story is, but we buried a German shepherd dog, the one that I was telling you about, somewhere there and when the hole was being dug we turned up what looked like an iron age farm implement.

Message: | Conor: That sounds so fascinating. I would love to find a stone with ogham on it. I haven't found anything like that. You should set up a little museum, perhaps you could even have a class museum where people brought in interesting things. Michaela: Were you one of the girls that has read Gorgeous?

Message: | Dear Cora Thankyou for replying to me - glad you injoyed the water - the markings on the stones are similar to ogham. I am digging up some the area were the remains but, I have not yet found a soutarrain, I hope the soutarrain will be well preserved. I have found two flint axeheads too. From Conor Kelly.

Message: | Dear Conor, That was great water - lovely and cold - and just what I needed at that moment. I'm very interested in your farm. What sort of markings are on the stone. Could you describe them? Is there any trace of a souterrain, or underground room? We think ours is in the middle of the fort, because there is a waterlogged bit there where marsh irises grow and we think it is because water is trapped at the top of the steps (as it was in the escape passageway by what was meant to be a duck pond.)
