Message:Have a look on the first page of this website, Freja and see if there is anything that catches your fancy. I suspect, though, that you would prefer to have a Jenny & Jane book - and I will do my best to get a third one out there quickly!

Message:Hi!
Thank you for replying so quickly! I can't wait to find out more about Jenny and Jane! Are there any books of yours that you would recommend reading in the meantime?

Message:Thank you, Freja, for such a nice message. I would indeed love to write a third and have suggested it to my publishers so we will have to wait patiently until they make up their minds. As soon as they do I promise that I will start work immediately. There is so much more to write about!

Message:Hi Cora!
I recently read your Jane Austen/Jenny Cooper books and really enjoyed them. I was hoping that you would write a third, I would LOVE to know what will happen in the rest of Jenny's life! Please could you write another book as the series are my favourite and I really love the historical facts in them- I learnt so much and now want to visit Bath! I also can't wait to read 'Debutantes in love'. Thank you for writing such great books!

Message:the dear old Drumshee books! They are out-of-print, now and their original publisher no longer in business. From time to time, though I am very busy with books for adults and for older children, I think about these books and resolve to see if they can be republished one way or another as so many people seem to have an affection for them.
The name 'Drumshee' is imaginary, but the place is real and I live there in the little cottage to the south of the huge iron age fort that stands on the hill behind and stops us receiving mobile (cell) phone signals!

Message:I came across your books while trying to find children's literature for an Ancient Civilizations class. I have now read nine books of the series to my daughter and we can't put them down. We have no Irish heritage and are not sure of the pronunciation of some of the people and places, but I am recommending them to everyone. We by coincidence visited the Connemara region when my daughter was five. Now she is dying to return and visit some of the places where the books take place. Is Drumshee a real place? We have looked up County Claire and see the River Fergus and an area called DrumCliff, but no Drumshee. Thank you for these wonderful stories.

Laura
P.S. My daughter has named her hamster Fergus.

Message:That's a really good point. I haven't thought about it like that before!
In all though, I really love the diversity in the characters, and even though they're very different, I like them all!

Message:Yes, I agree - it's a hard question.

I think that when i was writing book 2 Poppy came across as the most appealing character, but when I sit back and think about it - well, I think that I approve of Daisy more.
Poppy is very centered on herself and Baz, whereas Daisy has compassion and affection to spare for other members of her family - her father , and even her elderly great-aunt.

And, of course, Rose is great fun and I love her wit and her cleverness.

Message:That's a hard question! I liked Daisy the best in Debutantes but in Debutantes In Love, I think my favorite would be Poppy. I love her relationship with Baz and her spirit. Though I still loved Daisy! Who out of the four girls did you like the best?

Message:Cora,
I've just finished your amazing sequel, "Debs In Love" and I must say it was amazing! I loved who you paired together in the end and all the little stories weaved into the main ones. I hope you write more young adult books like these!

Message:It's a terrible thing to say, but I'm afraid that I never lend books that I like. I've had so many of them ruined or lost that I've decided never to do that again and just suggest that they buy their own, or borrow from the library!

Message:Hi Cora!
Your two Jane Austen books are the best things I've ever read! When I leant one to my friend and she ruined it I literally cried! So happy to hear you have plans for another!
Based on those books, which others of your books would you recommend?

Message:Thanks, Sooty - yes, I have definitely got plans for a third 'Jane Austen' book and so far as the 'Debutantes' are concerned - well, it would be lovely to give Rose, the youngest sister, her own voice and her own story.

Message:GirlReader: I'm not quite sure what you are talking about - perhaps it is an interview of me by some blog writer. There was something about what actors would play the parts of the characters in 'Debutantes' on the Pan Macmillan website - 'MYKINDABOOK' - perhaps that's what you are looking for.

Ciaran: If you are looking for books about boys written by me I would suggest THE LONDON MURDER MYSTERIES - there are six of them and Alfie, Sammy, Jack & Tom - and Mutsy the dog are all boys - there is only one girl in the books and that is Sarah.

I wondered where that other site of yours is, the one where you talked about what actors would play the characters in Debutantes, and what house you'd pick. I am searching frantically for it, so if you could help me out, that would be great.
