Message:hello Cora,
I loved the story today. My mom thought it was fictional but I told her it wasn't. I've one question for you. How long did you see the girl in the tunic for? Was it a ghost?

Message:Hello Cora, Thank you for coming to our school today. We all enjoyed it. I really liked the story you told. I just have one question for you.., actually two. What inspired you to be a writer? How long did it take to write your first book? I am looking forward to reading your books because now I have met a real author and I was so excited to meet you, my little sister too and big brother.

Message:No, I didn't make it up, Aoife, but I think that if it were not for the dog's reaction - her growls, hair standing on end and howling like a wolf - I might just think that I had imagined it. It all seemed to last just for a second.

Message:Sarah: My first book was the shortest, but it took the longest to write - I suppose because I wasn't used to writing then. I think it took a couple of months - which for me is very, very long.

Message:Thanks for the message, Gavin. I'm delighted that you liked the book. Shane is my favourite character, also.
If you do write your book, please send it to me to put on the Story Board. I would be delighted to give you advice as you go along.

Message:I read "A Life For A Life" and I thought it was brilliant. I especially liked Shane. (Not just because he has a hawk.)
I thought it was great the way you mentioned places I have been to like Dysert O' Dea and Bunratty and especially King John's Castle as I live in Clare. Your Iron Age Fort is only about (less than) 10 miles from where I live. You probably know where I live. I won't say it though because this is the internet and nothing is completely safe on the internet.
Anyway, the book was very interesting and I think I will write one of my own.
Thanks for the enthusiasm Cora. Keep up with the good work.

Message:I have started a new story in the Story Club. Everyone can join in. Just carry on the story from where the last entry stops. You can write as little or as much as you wish. Don't finish the story, though, until I tell you.

Message:Emer & Aoibheann: I've put your stories on the Story Board.

Leah: My advice for writing a story is to plan it first. Four sections is a good idea. A beginning, then the story progresses, then something goes wrong, perhaps, or something unexpected happens and then an ending. It's best not to start the story before you have planned the ending.
As to publication, well that's very difficult. I wouldn't even think of it until you can produce a good story that lasts for about fifty typed pages.

Message:Katy: I think that is a great idea - perhaps make a story with five short chapters. I'd say that would work out very well. Good luck and send me the result - or any questions.

Message:Dear Cora, I wrote you a story to not put on the Story Club and I have had an idea. Would it be good to add more parts, like a part two to the end of it aswell? Be honest if you don't think it would. Thank you for all your advice, I am dying to read gorgeous, but it's very popular and sold out at the book fair in school!!! Thank you so much, Katy
