Message: | Sorry, Ciara - I've been very busy, very rushed during the last few days. Sarah Patton: I've just sent an email to the Site Manager to unblock that computer in case it was yours - it was nothing too bad anyway, just silly - but I had a few of those messages and got tired of them - and yet it doesn't look the same number as your computer - anyway, send me another message through the sotry board if you read this.

Message: | Grace: Thanks for your message. Clare: Yes, I'd love to come back to Cratloe - and I did like it very much, indeed, but I would have to be invited by a teacher. By the way, I'm delighted that you liked the 'Famine'. Sarah Patton: Yes, Sarah, I did get that message on the story, but not your others. I wonder what is happening? I know that I blocked a computer a while ago as I kept getting silly messages from this one source - you haven't got a little brother or cousin or something who might have been doing that, have you? I'll try and find out the computer number and if it's yours I'll unblock it straightaway.

Message: | Cameron: I'm thinking about a book with boy as a detective. It is set in Victorian times - a bit like the musical 'Oliver'. Have you really read all 17 of the Drumshee books? Aoibheannn: No, I;m afraid I haven't. I was thinking that I might rewrite 'Gorgeous' in an English setting.

Message: | Aoibheann: Some of what I've said to Aimee applies to you, also. Of course, it's fine to write stories on paper - in school you have to do that, I suppose, but the more you get used to typing at your age, the better it will be for you. On the other hand, some authors that I know say they often write the first page or so on paper - so everyone is different!

Message: | Aimee: If I were you I would take one of those stories in your head and write it as a plan - for instance, divide it into four chapters and just write a little note of what is in each chapter. Then you can start writing. Do it on the computer if you type fairly easily - it's so much easier to change things and swap things around when it is on a computer. then when it's written, just copy it and paste it into the Story Club form and I will give you any help that I can. I think if you start to write down what's in your head straightaway, you will be disappointed. It doesn't always work because in your mind you are seeing the stories like a film, but a written story is different. Good luck!

Message: | Liam & Aoife: Thanks for your additions to the 'The Magic Fire' story, but - and I probably didn't explain this - I couldn't put them on, because you were both finishing off the story. I usually say when I think that an ending should be written and then anyone who likes can put it on. This story is just beginning and I hope that there will be lots of strange adventures. Sarah & everyone: Writing books is a matter of getting a good idea, then thinking about that idea and developing the story before you start to write it down - the sources of inspiration can be anything that you meet or see or hear, but I think it's best not to take an idea from another book or film - that never seems to work well.
