Message:Thanks, Danielle. 'Gorgeous' is definitely something different to the Drumshee books because it is telling the story of a nowadays girl in a primary school of the 21st century.

I liked your story, Danielle, and will put it on the Story Club board.

I used to have asthma when I was young, Katie, and then there were no drugs for it.
Derbhail: You must be a very good reader!#
Aoibheann: I wonder could you get a copy of 'Drumshee Castle' - perhaps a library - that is all about the Spanish Armada.

Message:Sarah Patton: No, I've never been to Ferrycarrig, but I think that Wexford is full of history. I was reading a book about Isabelle de Clare, daughter of Strongbow and of his wife, Aoife, the daughter of an Irish King. Because her father died when she was only 12 she was lodged in the Tower of London so that the English king, King Henry II, could give her as a prize to one of his knights (because she was the heir to all of Leinster). It's terrible, isn't it, to think of a 12 year-old girl lodged in the tower of London waiting for her husband to arrive? Luckily he was a very nice man (and she was 16 before she was 'sold off'). He was William Marshall and they built New Ross and other places together and were very happy.

Message:Gorgeous was the first book I read by you, I was rushing around town and I was drawn to the bright pink colour on the outside so I picked it up and just brought it over to the counter only then reading the title while the librarian was scaning it. I was very glad I had picked it up!!
