Message:Daniella: I'm so pleased that you enjoyed my book. There will be a sequel out in a month or so and I hope that you will like that as much.

In the meantime, I wonder whether you have ever read 'I Capture the Castle' by Dodie Smith. I thought that was a beautifully written book and I'm sure that you would enjoy it.

About writing a poem - well, I think if you were to focus on something very beautiful, and do the first line as a naming of the object, the second line of how it looks and then the third line about how the object feels when you touch it and then the fourth line about the emotions it arouses in you.

Message:Sara: Yes I thought you might have suffered from asthma - I did as a child -very, very badly and it's quite a frightening feeling. The only thing is that you can use that experience to write well about feelings of being smothered and not being able to breathe - so that;s useful.

Sarah: I'm looking forward to reading your story, Don't rush. Make sure that it has a beginning, a middle and an end.

Message:Cora,
I wanted to thank you for a delightful read! I have now read your book "I was Jane Austin's best friend" twice, and I must say that I find it enthralling. I wondered if you might be able to suggest any other books, authored by yourself or by another, to me that are like your own. I am 14 years of age and I go to Waddesdon School, I hope to study A Level English when I go to sixth form and then aspire to study English at Oxford University. In our school we have just started the gifted and talented english course and this term we are writing poetry for a competition and I wondered (again) if you might have any tips or inspiration for me to help me along with the construction of my own poem.
Thank You again for your enjoyable book!

Message:I'm so glad that you wrote because I was very tired that day and not very well and as soon as I got home I realized that I had forgotten the name of your friend.
Could you or she please send it to me.
Yes, I will certainly put you both in as friends. I have a couple of chapters written already - it's about secondary school and about a film career. Haave you heard of a young actress called Saoirse Ronan? She is [roof that a young Irish girl can make good in the film world!

Message:Hello, Cora! You came to my school recently ( in Galway) and talked about your book "Gorgeous". There was a question from my friend beside me asking were you going to do a sequel to the book, which was my question exactly! You said you would work on it and put her name in the book as one of the nice girls! Could I please be put in next to my friend? It's because the name "Caoimhe" doesn't get mentioned in alot of books, so I'd love to be in yours, since you are one of my favourite authors! Please write back, Caoimhe. :)

Message:Dear Pauline,
I'm sorry to hear that. I wish that there was something that I could do or say that would help.
The only thing I can think of is to say that when I was a child and going through bad times I found reading and making up stories in my mind did help. I know it's an escape from reality, but sometimes reality can be too much to bear and it's good for us to have the sort of minds that can escape from it. I know that you have that kind of mind and that kind of imagination.
With much affection,
Cora.
